Privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026. This is a starting template: have it reviewed before you rely on it.
Bot’s Eye View ("we") runs Bot’s Eye View. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Website addresses you check, and the results, so we can show and email your report.
- Your email address, if you give it to unlock a report or buy a Fix Pack.
- A one-way code made from your IP address, used only to stop abuse of the free check. We don't store your IP address itself.
- Where you came from (for example, the ad or link you clicked), so we know which marketing works.
- Payment details, which go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
To run checks, deliver reports and Fix Packs, answer your questions, and improve the service. If you tick the box for tips, we'll send occasional emails about AI visibility. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can reply to opt out.
Cookies and analytics
We use one cookie to remember which link brought you here. If we use analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics or the Meta pixel), they only load after you accept them in the cookie banner.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run Bot’s Eye View: hosting (Railway), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and any analytics you've accepted. Some of these store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We don't sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep Fix Pack orders and reports for as long as you might need them, and free check results for up to two years. Ask us and we'll delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it by law (for example, tax records).
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@example.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
